How we project
Under the hood, MatchdayXI runs an ensemble of Fantasy-specific models — minutes, expected involvement, fixture difficulty, set-piece role, opponent strength — and combines them into a single per-player point projection for the next gameweek and beyond. Inputs come from the public FPL API and Understat (xG/xA history).
The optimizer turns those projections into your captain pick, transfer move, optimal lineup, and chip ranking. The full breakdown lives on the methodology page.
